IkamvaYouth is a by-youth, for-youth educational organization that enables young learners in township schools to lift themselves out of poverty and into university or employment. The film follows Akhona, a young learner who is studying for her Matric exams and Siyabulela, a previous Ikamva learner who is now at University but who still goes back to Ikamva to tutor the next generation of young learners so that they, like him, can move towards their dreams, leaving abject poverty behind them. Their stories highlight the successful way in which Ikamvayouth helps township youth overcome their many challenges by taking their future into their own hands through education.
